Mossley Radio
Mossley Radio is a volunteer run, non-for-profit internet-based radio station bringing the soundscape of Mossley to a global platform. The group is appealing for support to fund ongoing costs, find secure premises to base their studio equipment in, and recruit new volunteers to help run, present and produce shows. Visit their website or Facebook group to have a listen and get involved.
Reclaim River Tame
Reclaim River Tame is a planned expedition to swim from the source to the end of the River Tame to raise awareness of sewage pollution in our river. The project requires funds and support for safety equipment, water and sediment sampling lab fees, and filmmaking equipment to document the journey. Visit the Reclaim River Tame Facebook page to follow the journey and get involved.
Tameside Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
This group was set up in 2018 to provide support for patients, families and carers of people suffering from this little-known, life-limiting lung disease. The group is one of only two in Greater Manchester and are appealing for help to continue the range of support on offer as they really don’t want to lose it. Join their Facebook group for more information, to give your support or to get involved.
