Kippax Corner Regeneration
Micklehurst Cricket Club is raising funds to regenerate the outdoor seating area to make a safe and welcoming place for the community to enjoy cricket. The project requires funds towards materials for the redevelopment, named in honour of the Kippax family who have been stalwarts of the club for over 50 years. Visit their Crowdfunder page or email the club to give your support.
Milton St John’s Parent Teacher Association
Milton St John’s PTA is working to transform the school playground and aim to create a new outdoor sheltered space for use as a classroom and for outdoor play in any weather. The PTA is appealing for support to prepare the area, install a new surface and construct a safe and durable wooden shelter. Email the PTA to offer some support and get involved as a volunteer on Saturday 22 March.
Mossley Town Twinning Committee Football Tournament
The committee is organising a football tournament with teams of young people from Mossley and our twin town of Hem in northern France. The committee is looking for support to host the tournament at Seel Park on 27 April and connected twinning events during that weekend, including an awards ceremony. Join their Facebook group to find out more and give your support.
Walk Tall
Full Stilt is aiming to run stilt-walking workshops for young people and adults in the community to help improve their confidence and mental health. The team is appealing for support to deliver the Walk Tall sessions free of charge to learners, with funds spent on venue hire and in the build of new pairs of stilts.
