Support the SOUP #20 projects and presenters
Following four great presentations at Mossley SOUP #20, here’s your chance for a project recap and to get in touch with the presenters if you’d like to give your support directly.
1st Mossley Scout Group
1st Mossley Scout Group is attended by 48 young people who undertake a variety of activities – learning, socialising and supporting local projects. The group is looking to purchase new camping equipment to enable members to participate in camps throughout the year. Visit their website for more info and contact details.
Mossley Hollins Wellbeing Room
Mossley Hollins head student team is looking to transform and create an improved wellbeing room within the school, a space where students can relax and decompress. The team is appealing for funds to renovate the space, not just physically, but with more activities and events to improve student’s mental health. Visit the Mossley Hollins High School website to get in touch and offer your support.
Thompson Cross Community Kitchen
The Power of Resilience’s Thompson Cross Community Kitchen project is aiming to provide over 2,000 meals to those facing disadvantage in the Autumn and Winter of 2025/2026. The group is appealing for support to buy in food, to prepare the hot food and to assist with the distribution of the meals. Visit The Power of Resilience website to learn more and pledge to help the project.
Trumpet Choir
Trumpet Choir aims to support adults who are living with mental illness, teaching them to play trumpets with weekly sessions on the psychiatric wards at Tameside General and in the community. The project requires funding to pay for trumpets so that the sessions will be at no cost to participants. Visit the Valley Music Wellbeing website to find out more and get in touch with Jan.
